Approx 2 oz Kitchen Cotton (Model: Sugar ‘n Cream in Country Stripes)
#8 (5.0 mm) needles
Size G crochet hook (optional)
Abbreviations
YO = yarn over
SSK = slip, slip, knit
K2tog = knit 2 together
M1 = make one – slip right needle under bar between the two stitches. Lift and place on left needle. Knit into the back of the lifted stitch.
*abc* = repeat between asterisks
Dress
Cast on 44 stitches using knitted cast-on.
Rows 1, 3, 5, 7, and 8: K2, P40, K2
Rows 2, 4, and 6: K2, K1, *SSK twice, (YO, K1) 4 times, K2tog twice, K1*, K2
Repeat Rows 1-8 a total of four times for body of dress.
Waist & Bodice
Row 1: Knit
Row 2: K1, SSK 10 times, K2, K2tog 10 times, K1. (24 sts)
Row 3: K1, SSK 5 times, K2, K2tog 5 times, K1. (14 sts)
Row 4: K5, SSK, K2tog, K5 (12 sts)
Rows 5-7: Knit
Row 8: K3, M1, K6, M1, K3 (14 sts)
Rows 9-11: Knit
Row 12: K4, M1, K6, M1, K4 (16 sts)
Rows 13-15: Knit
Row 16: K5, M1, K6, M1, K5 (18 sts)
Rows 17-21: Knit
Row 22: K5, BO 8 sts, K5
Row 23: K5, CO 8 sts (using “e” cast-on), K5
Row 24: K1, SSK, K to end.
Repeat Row 24 until there are 3 stitches left. K3tog. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Optional Ties
With size G crochet hook, make 2-50 stitch chains. Attach at waist & tie in back.

Cute dress/dishcloth.
Originally got this pattern from HMG group. Love it. Have made several for friends. They also love them. I especially like the way the portion that hangs down the back makes the dress hang beautifully on the bottle.
So glad you like it. I have definitely enjoyed mine.
